Christmas Thoughts

Recently, I've been focusing on preparing my heart for Christmas. Life has been very busy lately, and it's easy to get side tracked with other "stuff" that comes along this time of year. One thing I think that is good for all to be reminded of this Christmas and every Christmas is humility. Our creator, humbled himself, He could have came any way he wanted, but he chose to come as a baby. The One who ended the curse of sin humbly came to earth, died like a criminal, rose again and now sits with his Father. Only a few heard the noise when he arrived, however....when the lingering effects of the curse are finally and fully undone...the celebration will be deafening when He returns. I just love thinking about it. Come quickly Lord Jesus..come quickly. May the love of Christ dwell richly with you all this Christmas.

Learning and Learning

Being in full time ministry has really opened my eyes. Working with Jr and Sr high kids is fun at times, but very challenging. I'm really starting to see myself as a cross-cultural missionary to teenagers who are living in and being shaped by a world and adolescent experience increasingly different from my own. So if your thinking you have to go to Bangladesh to be a cross-cultural missionary (nothing against that)..just ask to volunteer with the student ministry in your church. A lot of it is right here..the harvest is ripe!

yup..this is where i live..and yes E. Coli has just bust onto the scene via Taco Bell....if i don't post in awhile..i must have been eating at a Taco Bell in New Jersey...
